Labrador Consulting & Marketing Services has worked hand-in-hand with FavoriteU, LLC to create their corporate identity, marketing package, and online store. We created their logo, business cards, letterhead and fax cover sheets, and we implemented a custom Joomla! / VirtueMart e-commerce solution for their online store and inventory management.

The FavoriteU Logo

FavoriteU, LLC offered a unique challenge. They wanted an easily identifiable logo that was instantly recognizable as relating to the college audience. They also wanted the logo to have two primary colors, which could be changed to reflect the colors of a specific school when on merchandise or websites directed towards a specific fan base or alma mater. When we delivered the logo to FavoriteU, LLC, we gave them one in their primary colors as well as multiple variations targeted for specific universities. As FavoriteU, LLC expands their online presence and market share through 2008 and 2009, we expect these various logo color schemes to crucial for their branding of specific, targeted products.

The FavoriteU Business Card

Just as FavoriteU wanted a logo that would be recognizable in a variety of colors, they wanted their business cards to function the same. While it was important that the cards have contemporary styling and reflect a uniform identity, it was also important that the colors could be easily changed for a specific university audience. Just like their logo, the team at Labrador Consulting & Marketing Services devised a primary business card design as well as rules for variations depending on a specific targeted audience. FavoriteU uses these variant card designs when hiring sales consultants that work with a specific university audience

FavoriteU.com was built from the ground up with Joomla at its core and the VirtueMart shopping cart system. The site was integrated with Autorize.net Merchant Gateway to accept credit cards as well as PayPal for alternatve payment processing. The site also features an XRAMP 256-bit SSLWildcard Security Certificate to insure that FavoriteU.com's customer information is encrypted and safe. We designed the site to reflect the FavoriteU.com color scheme while making it as simple as flipping a switch, if the company chooses to target or duplicate the site for a specific university audience. We also harnessed the power of Joomla to make the site modular and enable the FavoriteU.com staff to turn on or off specific features without comprising the rest of the website. Finally, the VirtueMart shopping cart system was extensively modified to customize its appearance and functionality to meet the needs of the FavoriteU team.
